FMS Fränkischer Maschinen- und Stahlbau

When it really matters

FMS Gochsheim, a METZEN Industries’ brand, manufactures everything from one-off products to medium-sized batches. This includes, for example, superior welded constructions made of ferritic steel, chromium-nickel steel and aluminium alloys. These welded constructions are used in the energy distribution, rail transport, automotive and food industries, as well as in various niches of mechanical engineering, plant engineering and steel construction.

In addition, FMS maintains a comprehensive quality and environmental management system certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. It holds all relevant testing and manufacturing approvals for the production of sophisticated components.

The MIG/WIG/MAG/submerged arc/stud and E-hand welding techniques are used.

Welding line

Efficient robot welding

The robot welding system is designed for use with components measuring 4000 x 2500 x 2500 mm in normal manufacturing. Whilst the welding is taking place, the next component is simultaneously prepared at the second station. It can hold components with a total weight of up to 5.2 tons.

The common materials chromium-nickel steel, ferritic steel, aluminium and special alloys can be processed.

UP automatic welder

This machine guarantees an even better weld seam quality in an even shorter time. Unalloyed, low alloyed steel and high alloyed steel with a thickness above 5mm can be welded. The UP welder guarantees that the welding powder will be dried before use so it can be applied dry.

Stelliting

Why stellite?

Stellite is highly resistant to abrasion and corrosion, in particular at high temperatures and for surfaces subject to heavy use. This weld cladding is commonly used to extend the lifespan of pump components like the casing, shafts and screw conveyors.
