Thanks to the high-performance NC rotary table, heavy workpieces can be safely and accurately positioned, allowing complex machining operations to be completed in a single setup. This ensures high precision, shorter lead times, and maximum flexibility in production.

This is exactly where the integration of G&S Surface Technology into GERWIN Silotechnik begins – directly at our shared site in Beckum. A step that brings clear and tangible benefits.

With the integration, GERWIN is specifically expanding its expertise in surface treatment. For our customers, this means no external waiting times, no long transport routes and no dependence on distant suppliers. Even demanding surface treatments can now be carried out directly on site in Beckum – quickly, efficiently and reliably.

The integration expands GERWIN’s service portfolio with comprehensive and certified new capabilities:

  • Abrasive blasting in accordance with DIN EN ISO 12944-4
    For mobile steel structures up to 10 t unit weight, 2.5 m height, 2.5 m width and 14 m length

  • Glass bead blasting for stainless steel and aluminium structures

  • Surface coatings for all industrial applications
    According to corrosivity categories C1 to C6, with the relevant certifications

Of particular importance to many of our customers are the new capabilities in the highest corrosion protection classes:

  • Industrial (C5-I): Very high exposure to moisture and aggressive gases

  • Marine (C5-M): Very high exposure to salt and extreme environmental conditions

Extended leadership team meets at the Beckum site for the very first time

A strong team, a new location and clear perspectives: the extended leadership team of METZEN convened for the first time at the new Beckum site, hosted by GERWIN Silotechnik, which became part of METZEN earlier this year.

As hosts, Deputy Managing Director Adrian Hense and Managing Director Marcel Funk welcomed their colleagues to the extended leadership team for the first time, thereby strengthening collaboration across locations.

The meeting focused on topics that directly contribute to value creation for our customers. These included METZEN’s core values and leadership principles, which provide the framework for responsible action and reliable collaboration. The team also discussed current and future challenges to ensure the continued delivery of solutions that are both scalable and forward-looking, securing long-term success for our customers. On this basis, the leadership team defined its key priorities and areas of focus, with a clear emphasis on efficiency, customer benefit and strategic development. In addition, recent developments in marketing and human resources provided important insights into how we can make our solutions even more effective through strong positioning and high-performing teams.

The meeting offered space for intensive exchange, fresh ideas and clear orientation for the year ahead. A particular focus was on how METZEN continues to grow through clear values, professional excellence and collaborative leadership.

The day in Beckum highlighted that the leadership team, with a dedicated team, a clear vision and strong sense of responsibility, is looking forward to a successful 2026.

METZEN sets a clear signal for talent development

Hanna Buhmann is now taking on the position of Head of Talent Management at METZEN and will also become part of the company’s extended leadership team. In this role, she will be responsible for recruitment, employer branding, employee retention and development for our approximately 400 employees.

Hanna Buhmann has been part of our team for around two years and, during this time, as Employer Branding & Recruiting Manager, she has not only significantly driven talent acquisition but also successfully managed company-wide HR projects and continued her professional development. With her expertise and experience, she will further strengthen our talent strategy and actively shape the development of our teams.

Sven Lehmkuhl will be supporting our experienced Senior Engineer, Andreas Finger, in his established sales territory. Sven’s main focus will be on North Rhine-Westphalia. He brings with him a strong combination of technical expertise and sales experience.

As a trained industrial mechanic, Sven developed an early ambition to expand his knowledge and successfully completed the Bachelor Professional of Metal Production and Management.

His previous roles in customer service and technical sales make him a true all-rounder who understands both the technical requirements and the needs of our customers.
