His expertise spans industry, mergers & acquisitions, and corporate investments. Prior to METZEN, he worked as an Investment Manager at BPE Unternehmensbeteiligungen, specialising in equity-financed management buy-outs. As a recognised expert in succession planning and transactions, he authored the book “Private Equity for Family Businesses – Succession Solutions and Growth Financing in the German Mittelstand.”

Nico holds a bilingual degree in Business Administration, specialising in Finance & Banking and International Management, completed at the European Business School in Germany, the USA, and Switzerland. In addition, he advises family-owned businesses, supporting their strategic development.
