METZEN: Tailored solutions for maximum efficiency in Intralogistics
Narrow aisles, rising performance expectations, and relentless cost and space constraints – these are the daily realities in intralogistics. Companies are under continuous pressure to make optimal use of limited space, implement systems that are safe and easy to maintain, and ensure the highest efficiency with the lowest resource consumption. Addressing this complexity requires solutions that are both technically sophisticated and precisely adapted to the task at hand.
In a particularly demanding project, the METZEN conveyor technology team developed a bespoke solution that met these challenges head-on, significantly increasing system performance and operational efficiency. Working in close partnership with a global market leader in intralogistics, we engineered a highly specialised system for handling unit loads such as totes and cartons.
The project presented a range of technical and logistical requirements. Spatial constraints called for compact system layouts that did not compromise on performance. At the same time, energy-efficient production methods were implemented to minimise resource usage and operating costs. Seamless integration into the client’s existing infrastructure required close coordination between the general contractor, METZEN, and the end customer — ensuring uninterrupted processes and consistent output.
The result: compact, accessible, and highly efficient system components tailored for restricted logistics environments. Resource-saving manufacturing significantly reduced the overall environmental impact. The successful system integration led to measurable improvements in throughput and operational reliability.
This project once again demonstrates METZEN’s capability to deliver intelligent, made-to-measure solutions for complex logistical challenges. Through the combination of engineering excellence, modern production methods, and a strong collaborative approach, we help our clients optimise internal logistics processes and achieve long-term success.
