KRÖGER at the VERO Construction and Raw Materials Day 2025: Shaping the Infrastructure of Tomorrow

How can we secure the future of our infrastructure? How can the circular economy be successfully implemented in practice? And what role does a high-performance construction and raw materials industry play in this process?

These were the central questions discussed on 9 October 2025, when more than 100 participants from politics, business, public administration and academia came together at the nationwide Construction and Raw Materials Day, hosted by the Association of the Construction and Raw Materials Industry (VERO) and the Employers’ Associations of Lower Saxony (UVN) at the Old Town Hall in Hanover.

Under the guiding theme “Infrastructure: Maintenance – Expansion – Circular Economy,” the event focused entirely on shared progress.

METZEN was also present as an exhibitor with its product brand KRÖGER Grab Technology. Andreas Finger presented innovative solutions for efficient material handling – grabs that combine precision, sustainability and maximum operational safety.

“Our grab technology helps to make material flows more efficient and resource-friendly. This is exactly what the industry needs if it wants to move beyond discussing the circular economy and start implementing it,”
said Andreas Finger from KRÖGER.

Focus on Collaboration and Practical Solutions

Key topics at the conference included the Federal Government’s special investment fund for infrastructure and climate neutrality, raw materials security, and the balance between sustainability and competitiveness.

Panel discussions and expert presentations made one thing clear: future-ready solutions emerge through dialogue between politics, industry and technology. And through genuine, partnership-based collaboration.

METZEN as a Partner to the Industry

As a provider of proven practical solutions for the construction and raw materials sectors, METZEN – with its product brand KRÖGER Grab Technology – actively contributes to making material handling and plant operations more efficient, safer and more sustainable.
