Joachim Lohmann will join METZEN GmbH as Managing Director on 1 October 2026. He brings more than 30 years of experience in international mechanical and plant engineering, with particular expertise in conveying technology, plant development, process optimisation and project business.

Most recently, he served as Sales Director Europe at AUMUND Fördertechnik. Prior to that, he spent 19 years managing international investment and plant engineering projects at HeidelbergCement, now Heidelberg Materials.

His experience on the operator side has given him first-hand insight into what customers expect from plants and investment projects: cost-effectiveness, availability and investment decisions that deliver sustainable value over the long term. He has modernised existing plants and delivered major international projects from initial concept through to commissioning.

He now brings this perspective to METZEN. He assesses technical challenges across the entire lifecycle of a plant, identifies optimisation potential at an early stage and works with our teams to develop solutions that deliver both technically and commercially.

In doing so, he strengthens our commitment to solving complex challenges while consistently focusing on the value we create for our customers.
