Once a year at METZEN Industrie Service in Gochsheim, the focus shifts from the next project to the people behind it. Our traditional summer party is an opportunity to look back together, recognise achievements and, above all, say thank you.

This year, we honoured colleagues celebrating between 10 and an impressive 45 years with the company. Behind these milestones lie decades of experience, countless projects, challenges successfully overcome together and a level of commitment that should never be taken for granted.

At the same time, we said farewell to two long standing colleagues as they entered retirement and welcomed our newly qualified professionals and new colleagues to the team.

A special look back

One particularly memorable moment was the visit of two former employees who had already been working for our company in the 1950s. Both were involved in building the FMS respirator, better known as the “iron lung”.

During the polio pandemic, this medical device supported people whose respiratory muscles had failed. It was a technology where precision could quite literally make the difference between life and death.

More than 70 years later, this encounter brought our company’s history to life in a very special way. Much has changed since then. What remains is our commitment to solving technical challenges with experience, precision and a strong sense of responsibility.

Our summer celebration brings together people, experience and generations. It reminds us where we come from and of the people who make METZEN what it is today.
